In June, the Ministry of Defence codified over 120 new models of weapons and military equipment

Last month, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine codified and authorized over 120 new models of weapons and military equipment for operational use. Over 100 of them are domestically manufactured. This was reported by the MoD’s Main Directorate for Support of the Life Cycle of Weapons and Military Equipment.
In June, the list of codified models of weapons and military equipment included a large number of unmanned aerial systems of various types and purposes (approximately 50), engineering equipment, munitions (mostly for UAVs), and ground-based robotic systems (over 10). All of these models of weapons and military equipment were domestically manufactured.
There has been noticeable progress in the number of fiber-optic-controlled unmanned aerial systems authorized for use by the Defence Forces. Since the beginning of the year, over 70 such models have been authorized.
Ukrainian manufacturers continue to demonstrate high pase of innovation in weapons development. This is confirmed by statistics: since the beginning of 2025, more than 600 new models of weapons and military equipment have been authorized for operational use. For comparison, just over 300 domestically manufactured models were codified in the first half of last year.
In the first half of 2025, the inventory of UAVs expanded by more than 270 new models – nearly three times more than in the same period last year. Eight new Ukrainian models of armored vehicles and associated combat modules were also codified, as well as over 60 new electronic warfare (EW) and signals/electronic intelligence (SIGINT/ELINT). Additionally, nearly 30 types of engineering equipment and more than 30 ground robotic systems were codified over the six-month period.
A reminder to defence equipment manufacturers: helpful information on the procedure for codifying new models of weapons and military equipment is available here.
