Oleh Ivashchenko was been appointed by the Decree of the President of Ukraine of January 02, 2026 № 7/2026.

Education

Holds degrees in military management, business administration, economics and law from:

  • Kyiv Higher Combined Arms Command School;
  • National Defence Academy of Ukraine;
  • National Defence University of Ukraine;
  • Kyiv-Mohyla Business School;
  • University of Economics and Law.

PhD in Military Sciences. Combat veteran.

Career

Leadership positions held:

  • 2024–2026: Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine;
  • 2019–2024: First Deputy Head of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine — Assistant to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for Intelligence;
  • 2015–2019: First Deputy Head of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine — Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for Intelligence.

Previously served in the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine in various positions, both domestically and abroad.

Decorations

Awarded the following state decorations:

  • Order of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi III grade;
  • Order of Danylo Halytskyi.
