Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence partners with Tetra Tech to train operators of mechanized demining equipment
The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, in cooperation with the U.S. company Tetra Tech, will conduct training for Ukrainian operators of mechanized demining equipment. The training, with the participation of Tetra Tech, will be conducted at the Ukrainian Training and Testing Complex (UTTC), a center focused on developing advanced technologies for mine action, civil protection, and environmental safety.
This agreement was reached during a meeting between representatives of the Ministry of Defence and Tetra Tech.
Special emphasis was placed on reinforcing the hands-on training for instructors, operators of mechanized demining equipment, and UAV specialists engaged in detecting explosive hazards.
“The agreement with Tetra Tech is another step toward a systematic, technology-driven, and resilient training model for specialists able to operate effectively in today’s threat environment,” said Colonel Olha Drobot, a representative of the Main Directorate for Mine Action, Civil Protection, and Environmental Safety.
Tetra Tech is a leading provider of consulting and engineering services in environmental protection, water management, and sustainable infrastructure development.
In Ukraine, Tetra Tech is engaged in a number of humanitarian demining initiatives.
