Ukraine and Denmark deliberated on investing in the Ukrainian defense industry through the ‘Danish model’

Deputy Minister of Defence Sergiy Boyev, together with Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence team, presented proposals to the Danish delegation on allocating funds to the Ukrainian defense industry.
The Ministry of Defence of Denmark delegation, led by the Deputy Head of the Department for Ukraine in the Danish Ministry of Defence, Captain 1st Rank Dennis Virkelyst, examined the proposals presented by the Ukrainian side and the list of products from Ukraine's defense industry.
The parties discussed the possibility of directing contributions from countries to Ukrainian companies through the ‘Danish model’, as well as financing production using the interest generated from the frozen assets of the russian federation.
“The capabilities of Ukraine's defense industry have reached $35 billion per year, and rapid investment will allow for the most efficient utilization of these resources. Considering the threats from russia, we have no time for prolonged deliberations,” stressed Deputy Minister of Defence Sergiy Boyev.
The Ukrainian and Danish sides also discussed the production cycle and delivery timeline – specifically, how quickly defense products can reach the military once Ukrainian companies receive investments.
