UAVs, Electronic Warfare, and Space Intelligence: Zhytomyr Military Institute named after S.P. Korolyov is training a new generation of officers
- Commanders of units specializing in technical reconnaissance, electronic warfare (EW), reconnaissance and strike unmanned aerial systems, ground robotic systems, and UAV interceptors;
- Space intelligence specialists;
- Experts in protecting state secrets and countering technical reconnaissance;
- Engineers specializing in the reception and processing of sensitive information from space systems;
- Information operations specialists;
“Ukraine’s young generation is facing a profound decision—choosing not only a career but also a life path that will shape the foundation of their future. The future belongs to advanced technologies that provide an advantage on the battlefield: electronic warfare, technical reconnaissance and space intelligence, unmanned systems, ground robotic systems, and more,” stated Colonel Andrii Sliusarenko, Head of the Zhytomyr Military Institute named after S.P. Korolyov.
He emphasized that the Institute is the only institution in Ukraine that systematically trains officers in these key areas and specialties.
Institute cadets undergo language training, take part in international conferences, seminars, and sports competitions, and benefit from academic mobility opportunities, including study at educational institutions and training centers in NATO member states.
The following individuals are eligible to apply for admission:
- Men and women who are Ukrainian citizens, aged 17 to 30 (including those turning 17 in the year of enrollment), and have completed general secondary, vocational, professional-technical, pre-higher, or higher education;
- Military personnel and individuals liable for military service who do not hold officer ranks, aged up to 30.
Cadets receive the following benefits during their study and officer training:
- Monthly stipend ranging from UAH 8,000 to UAH 20,000, plus an additional UAH 2,350 per month during martial law;
- Full state-funded support;
