‘Triumf’ and ‘Zoopark’ taken out: which prime targets of the russian army were eliminated by the Ukrainian Defense Forces in November
In November, the Defence Forces targeted and neutralized numerous high-value equipment and weaponry belonging to the russian army. The list of "knocked out" enemy weapons and military equipment includes Buk anti-aircraft missile systems of various modifications, Tor and S-400 Triumf systems, Solntsepyok heavy rocket-assisted thermobaric launchers, the Borisoglebsk-2 electronic warfare system, and the Zoopark radar system.
In early November, Ukrainian drone operators successfully struck a Buk-M2 surface-to-air missile (SAM) launcher on a tracked chassis. During combat operations, this SAM can engage targets either as part of an integrated surface-to-air missile system guided by a command post or autonomously within a designated sector. Shortly after, on November 16, 19, and 29, our warriors successfully neutralized three additional russian Buk surface-to-air missile systems of various configurations.
Ukrainian defenders also neutralized a Tor surface-to-air missile system, a land-based counterpart to the russian naval Kinzhal air defense system. It is designed to perform air and missile defense missions at the divisional level.
In November, one of our land units successfully destroyed two TOS-1A Solntsepyok multiple rocket launchers capable of using thermobaric warheads, adding them to the growing list of neutralized enemy assets.
Last month, our forces also successfully eliminated a russian Borisoglebsk-2 electronic warfare (EW) weapon system. The system's primary mission is to detect and disrupt various communication channels and other systems utilizing radio signals, mainly focusing on tactical communication and command systems, including satellite-based ones.
The last ten days of November saw significant success in targeting and destroying enemy weaponry and equipment. In particular, during the repulsion of an enemy assault in the Donetsk sector, Ukrainian Defense Forces units destroyed seven russian BMD-4 IFVs, along with their crews and troops, within a single day. The BMD-4 is the latest variant of the russian army's infantry fighting vehicles designed to transport airborne troops.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine also conducted a missile strike on the deployment site of the high-value russian S-400 Triumf surface-to-air missile system. As a result, a radar station was destroyed. It is important to note that this radar station's functionality is crucial for the operational effectiveness of other components of the surface-to-air missile system.
In late November, in the temporarily occupied Crimea, our reconnaissance teams destroyed two russian Podlet radar systems. The enemy uses this mobile radar system to detect airborne targets at low and extremely low altitudes in a complex, cluttered environment. In particular, this radar is integrated into the target acquisition components of the S-300 and S-400 surface-to-air missile systems.
Also included in the list of significant russian army targets destroyed by the Ukrainian Defence Forces in November is the Zoopark, a russian mobile counter-battery radar system. The system's primary purpose is to conduct reconnaissance of enemy fire assets and adjust fire accordingly.
Another high-value target destroyed by our forces was the russian mobile low-altitude surveillance radar system, Kasta 2E2. Its purpose is to monitor airspace, determine coordinates, and identify air targets, including those at extremely low altitudes. It provides targeting coordinates and movement parameters to air defense systems. The system can also serve as an air traffic control radar asset.
