The security situation and pressing needs: Sergiy Boyev held talks with NATO Assistant Secretary General

During a meeting with NATO Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Security Policy Boris Ruge, Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine for European Integration Sergiy Boyev provided an update on the current security situation in Ukraine and its needs in the political context.
The main topic of the discussion was the ongoing security threats: russia continues its hostilities, strengthens the capabilities of its defense industry, mobilizes and prepares reinforcements for its forces, and continues missile and drone terror.
“Our central focus remains on supporting the Ukrainian army with the necessary supplies. If we stop, and the aid ceases, the whole of Europe will be under threat. Therefore, the continent's security hinges on us and our partners,” said Sergiy Boyev.
The Deputy Minister pointed out that European countries need to boost defense sector funding and strengthen their defense industries to counter existing threats. He further emphasized that NATO membership is vital for Ukraine and provides the strongest security guarantee.
Sergiy Boyev also pointed out the role of the Capability Coalitions as a key tool for addressing the urgent needs of Ukraine's Security and Defence Forces and enhancing their future capabilities.
