Міноборони та представники громадськості визначили пріоритети для покращення медзабезпечення військових

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, together with representatives from the public sector, discussed key areas for enhancing medical support for service members. Topics including the management and assembly of individual first-aid kits and medical backpacks as well as the certification of Ukrainian tourniquets based on actual combat experience were covered in a meeting between Deputy Defense Minister, Brigadier General of Justice Serhii Melnyk and civil society representatives.

"Every Ukrainian service member—from soldier to general—is making the maximum effort toward our shared victory. Therefore, medical support must be based on practical experience, and it must be high-quality and equitable for every service member, conscript, veteran, and their families," emphasized Serhii Melnyk.

The meeting outlined priority areas for improving the regulatory framework and organizational changes to boost the effectiveness of medical support for Ukraine’s Defense Forces. They also discussed collaboration between the Armed Forces of Ukraine and volunteer organizations involved in the evacuation of the wounded, as well as ways to enhance the procedures for collecting and storing biomaterials for DNA identification when necessary.

Serhii Melnyk stressed that implementing quality changes in medical support requires incorporating practical insights shared by Ukrainian service members, including those from public organizations. Moreover, access to medical services within the military does not depend on the rank or position of the individual in need.
