The Ministry of Defence has authorized new boats for operational use in the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The Ministry of Defence has codified and authorized for operational use several models of domestically produced specialized boats for deployment within the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported by the MoD’s Main Directorate for Support of the Life Cycle of Weapons and Military Equipment.

These boats can carry out a variety of missions in diverse environments, including open seas, river mouths, large lakes, and similar settings. The design features of these Ukrainian boats enable their use in hard-to-reach areas such as marshes, rocky waters, and silted bodies of water.

The boats offer enhanced stability in moderately rough waters, substantial payload capacity, and a shallow draft.

Depending on the mission, they can be equipped with a bow turret, electronic warfare (EW) systems, echo sounders, gun mounts, mobile flexible fuel tanks, and other specialized equipment adapted to modern combat conditions.

It is worth noting that these boats have already been tested in real operational conditions.

A reminder to defense equipment manufacturers: helpful information on the procedure for codifying new models of weapons and military equipment is available here.
