The Ministry of Defence ensures proactive planning of non-lethal supplies for the AFU in 2025 – the Ministry of Defence’s acquisition agency (DOT) has announced procurements totaling UAH 34.2 billion
The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, the Logistics Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the DOT (the State Operator for Non-Lethal Acquisition, the Ministry of Defence's acquisition agency) continue their consistent work on planning non-lethal support procurement. Currently, tenders for procuring non-lethal equipment worth UAH 34.2 billion have already been announced for 2025.
In particular, tenders have been initiated for foodstuff worth UAH 24.4 billion, gear and clothing worth UAH 9.5 billion, and fuel and lubricants worth UAH 314.7 million.
These measures are part of the Ministry's policy to implement modern approaches to organizing defense procurement based on transparency, accountability, and timely delivery.
“Overall, in 2025, we plan to allocate more than UAH 67 billion for non-lethal supplies. Procurements for approximately half of this budget have already been announced. Amid war, we cannot afford any delays. Advance contracting guarantees that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be provided with everything they need,” emphasized Dmytro Klimenkov, Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine.
For his part, Glib Kanevskyi, Director of the Procurement Policy Department at the Ministry of Defence, noted that the projected procurement procedures and sufficient time for their implementation will enable Ukrainian businesses to efficiently fulfill large volumes of orders: “By the end of this year, tenders for the purchase of 550,000 pairs of summer boots and one million summer field uniforms will be held in the Prozorro system, allowing for advance preparation for the spring and summer period.”
The Ministry of Defence continues its efforts to improve the quality of supplies, ensuring the Armed Forces of Ukraine have everything necessary to counter the enemy effectively.
Earlier, it was reported that the DOT announced the procurement of water for the military for the first half of 2025.
