The military will receive UAH 12 billion to order equipment through DOT-Chain Defence in Q1 2026

The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine will allocate UAH 12 billion in Q1 2026 for ordering drones and other equipment through the DOT-Chain Defence platform.
Ordering through DOT-Chain Defence is now available to 186 combat brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as to brigades of the ‘Azov’ and ‘Khartia’ corps

The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine will allocate UAH 12 billion in Q1 2026 for ordering drones and other equipment through the DOT-Chain Defence platform. Ordering through the platform is now available to 186 combat brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as to brigades of the ‘Azov’ and ‘Khartia’ corps.

“Through the marketplace, the frontline has already received UAVs and electronic warfare (EW) systems worth UAH 7.687 billion, totaling 175.4 thousand units of equipment. Over 100 manufacturers have been integrated into the system. To select and receive the required equipment, a service member needs only a few clicks. We are continuing to expand the list of manufacturers and the range of items available on the marketplace. Our objective is to ensure that every brigade can independently choose and promptly receive everything required to perform its tasks,” Ukraine’s Minister of Defence, Denys Shmyhal, stated.

Arsen Zhumadilov, Director of the Ministry of Defence’s Defence Procurement Agency (DPA), stated that DOT-Chain Defence was made available to the military in late July of this year.

“We began with a small pilot project involving twelve brigades of the Armed Forces. Over four months, the system developed dynamically, demonstrating its effectiveness in supplying the military with the assets needed to conduct combat operations. In cooperation with the Ministry of Defence, we are currently working to ensure that 70% of all FPV drone supplies next year are carried out through DOT-Chain Defence,” he emphasized.

The DPA plans to continue expanding the list of manufacturers and the range of equipment available on the marketplace and is actively engaging with the market to support this effort. In particular, on December 11, more than 300 representatives of Ukrainian manufacturers of unmanned systems and electronic warfare (EW) equipment took part in a market consultation. At the consultation, the DPA team outlined plans and changes for 2026, including procedures for joining DOT-Chain Defence and working within the system, contract specifics and planned amendments, and the procedure for state quality assurance.

Reference information: The DOT-Chain Defence weapons marketplace was developed by the State Operator for Non-Lethal Acquisition (DOT) and is used to supply the military with weaponry. The system brings together brigades, manufacturers, and the Defence Procurement Agency (DPA) into a unified, secure environment, with the DPA handling all organizational aspects. This enables the military to receive the necessary equipment in just a few clicks.

The military supply through the DOT-Chain Defence runs alongside other programs and constitutes an additional channel for delivering unmanned systems and electronic warfare (EW) equipment.
