Kateryna Chernohorenko: The IT Coalition has delivered equipment worth nearly €2 million to Ukraine
With funding from Luxembourg and Iceland, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has received a new consignment of equipment from the IT Coalition worth nearly €2 million.
“I extend my gratitude to the member states of the IT Coalition for strengthening the technological resilience of our military. “This equipment will enhance our capacity for high-quality and reliable communication within the Armed Forces of Ukraine — a critical capability on the front line,” said Kateryna Chernohorenko, Deputy Minister of Defence for Digital Development.
This time, the partners provided the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine with the following equipment:
- 3,288 access points (various models);
- 500 routers;
- 460 solar-powered charging stations;
- 872 telephones.
This marks the third delivery from the IT Coalition in 2025. In January this year, as part of the initiative, Estonia, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg provided equipment worth €3.3 million, followed by another consignment worth €7.5 million in February.
The IT Coalition is one of the Capability Coalitions within the framework of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (Ramstein format). The Coalition supports the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Ministry of Defence in the domains of IT, communications, and cybersecurity.
Current members of the Coalition include Belgium, Denmark, Ireland, Iceland, Spain, Italy, Canada, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Germany, the United Kingdom, Finland, Sweden, and Japan, with Estonia and Luxembourg serving as lead nations.
