Individuals liable for military service have already generated over 30,000 electronic referrals to the MMC via the Reserve+

Over 32,000 electronic referrals to the Military Medical Commission (MMC) have already been generated through the Reserve+ app. This was announced by Kateryna Chernohorenko, Deputy Minister of Defence for Digital Development.

The Ministry of Defence launched electronic referrals to the MMC at the end of January this year. This is a component of the first stage of a comprehensive reform.

“Over 30,000 Ukrainians have already generated electronic referrals to the MMC, eliminating the need to visit the enlistment office and wait in line for a paper document required to commence the medical examination, which previously took a significant amount of time. We have digitalized this service within the reform framework and made it more humane. But we are not stopping there and are continuing to work on global changes,” said the Deputy Minister.

To recap, during the first stage of the reform, the Ministry of Defence, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, implemented electronic MMC decisions in the Medical Information System of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (MIS AFU) for the examination of individuals liable for military service and active military personnel, as well as the integration of the MIS AFU with the Oberih register.

The reform of the Military Medical Commission (MMC) system aims to make the military medical examination as efficient, rapid, and transparent as possible. This comprehensive process involves the digitalization of procedures and the improvement of the regulatory framework.
