In 2024, the Ministry of Defence adopted over 200 models of motor vehicles
Throughout 2024, the Ministry of Defence codified and approved more than two hundred models of automotive assets for use in the Defense Forces. This was reported by the MoD’s Main Directorate for Support of the Life Cycle of Weapons and Military Equipment.
Approximately 50% of the automotive novelties codified last year for use in the Defence Forces are of domestic production. This is several times greater than in the previous two years combined.
“These include numerous models of vehicles the Defence Forces need to carry out a wide range of tasks. Among the codified models are, in particular, light tactical vehicles, pickups, technical assistance vehicles, mobile workshops, logistics vehicles, and other vehicles manufactured by Ukrainian and foreign automotive companies. These include vehicles from manufacturers such as MAN, Iveco, Scania, Volvo, DAF, Peugeot, Toyota, Mitsubishi, and others,” said Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine Dmytro Klimenkov.
