Drone fleet expands with the Amaga-10 kamikaze drone

The Ministry of Defence has codified and adopted the Amaga-10 Ukrainian-made unmanned aerial systems for deployment within the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported by the MoD’s Main Directorate for Support of the Life Cycle of Weapons and Military Equipment.

The drones within the system are characterized by high speed and maneuverability.  These “birdies” carry a combat payload sufficient to engage armored vehicles with additional protection. They can operate in manual or semi-automatic control modes.

The drones of the system exhibit enhanced resistance to enemy electronic warfare measures. Optionally, the drones can be equipped with devices to perform a wide range of tasks.

The developers note that the system is named after a historical figure—the Sarmatian warrior queen Amage.

A reminder to defense equipment manufacturers: helpful information on the procedure for codifying new models of weapons and military equipment is available here.
