Evgeniy Khmara: We are focused on strengthening the protection of Kherson region’s critical infrastructure and supporting our defenders

Minister of Defence Evgeniy Khmara made a working visit to the Kherson region.
The Minister discussed the region’s priority needs amid russian terror with Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, focusing in particular on capabilities to counter various types of drones and aerial bombs.
The focus is on strengthening the protection of routes and critical infrastructure, as well as giving warriors greater capabilities to destroy russian targets that pose a threat to our people.
The Minister also met with service members and commanders from units of the 30th Marine Corps operating in the Prydniprovskyi sector.
Needs of the Prydniprovskyi sector
The Minister of Defence discussed with service members financial support for combat units and an increase in procurement of the assets needed to strike the enemy.
The service members’ requests that require decisions by the Ministry of Defence have been taken forward.
Assistance to service members and support for frontline regions
The Minister also visited a medical facility that provides care to service members and presented awards to defenders.
The Ministry of Defence will continue to maintain direct and regular contact with military personnel and the leadership of frontline regions to strengthen the Defence Forces and protect the lives of Ukrainians.
