Combat units will be able to procure vehicles under a simplified procedure

The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has launched direct procurement of pickup trucks and other vehicles for the Armed Forces of Ukraine to meet the needs of combat units.
“Following a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Staff and pursuant to the instruction of the President of Ukraine, the Ministry of Defence has prepared the relevant amendments to the Government resolution. Now, military units performing combat tasks on the front line will be able to procure used vehicles under a simplified procedure,” said Ukrainian Defence Minister Denys Shmyhal.
This primarily concerns pickup trucks, as well as ATVs (quad bikes) and motorcycles.
According to the Minister of Defence, procurements will be carried out as quickly and efficiently as possible, provided there is an established Table of Organization and Equipment requirements for the vehicles.
“In this way, service members deployed in the hottest sectors of the front line will always have the technical means needed to successfully accomplish their assigned missions. We are implementing the Ministry’s key priority of providing our service members with everything they need,” emphasized Denys Shmyhal.
