Total russian military losses on October 17, 2026: 2,090 personnel, 1,372 UAVs, and 27 artillery systems.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the estimated total russian war losses from 24.02.22 to 18.10.2026 inclusive are as follows

Personnel:

  • approximately 1 565 060 (+2 090) persons.

Armored vehicles and automotive equipment:

  • tanks ‒ 12 416 (+1);
  • armored fighting vehicles ‒ 25 561 (+7);
  • special equipment ‒ 4 835 (+5);
  • vehicles and fuel tanks ‒ 164 246 (+363);
  • unmanned ground vehicles ‒ 2 968 (+6).

Artillery and air defense assets:

  • artillery systems ‒ 51 293 (+27);
  • MLRS ‒ 2 224 (+3);
  • air defense assets ‒ 1 711 (+1).

Air targets:

  • aircraft ‒ 449 (+6);
  • helicopters ‒ 356;
  • UAVs (operational-tactical level) ‒ 568 358 (+1 372);
  • cruise missiles ‒ 5 134 (+4).

Naval assets:

  • warships and boats ‒ 35;
  • submarines ‒ 2.
