The Shchedryk UAV system will monitor the enemy in both freezing and hot weather conditions

The Ministry of Defence has codified and adopted the domestically produced UAV system 'Shchedryk' for deployment within the units of the Defence Forces. The system is designed to perform surveillance of the enemy's actions on the battlefield. Shchedryk can operate both during the day and at night.

According to the Main Directorate for the Support of the Life Cycle of Weapons and Military Equipment, the Shchedryk system consists of a control station and remotely piloted aerial vehicles. The system's aerial vehicles are equipped with silent electric motors and exhibit enhanced resistance to electronic warfare interference.

Shchedryk's aerial vehicles are capable of performing missions in strong winds, freezing temperatures, and heat. The battery charge lasts for an extended period of continuous operation.

“The capabilities of the aerial vehicle and its optical equipment enable operation from altitudes that are difficult to target for most enemy air defense systems,” emphasized Deputy Defence Minister Dmytro Klimenkov.
