The Ministry of Defence has codified the Gimli ground robotic system, which is capable of transporting ammunition and carrying out evacuation operations

НРК Гімлі – універсальна безпілотна платформа, призначена для виконання широкого спектру завдань у складних умовах бойових дій

The Ministry of Defence has codified and adopted the Gimli line of ground robotic systems for deployment within the units of the Defence Forces. This was reported by the MoD’s Main Directorate for Support of the Life Cycle of Weapons and Military Equipment.

The Gimli ground robotic system is a multifunctional unmanned platform designed to perform various tasks in the challenging environment of high-intensity combat operations.

Depending on the configuration and additional equipment, the robots can perform personnel evacuation and relocation, transport ammunition and property, and carry out other crucial support and logistics tasks. Moreover, the Gimli ground robotic system can be equipped with weapons and perform as a mobile combat module, executing fire strikes on enemy targets.

The Gimli robots are compact in size, making them easy to transport. The robot comes with a silent electric motor. With a full charge, the battery lasts for several hours of continuous operation. These robots can operate both during the day and at night.
