The Ministry of Defence has codified a six-engine logistics hexadrone

The Ministry of Defence has codified and adopted the Teslya ground robotic system for deployment within the units of the Defence Forces of Ukraine. This was reported by the MoD’s Main Directorate for Support of the Life Cycle of Weapons and Military Equipment.

The Teslya hexadrone was produced by a Ukrainian enterprise. It is designed for transporting various types of cargo on the front line. Each wheel of the robot is equipped with an individual motor. This ground robotic system is able to continue moving even after some of the engines or wheels are damaged. The six-wheeled chassis reduces ground pressure, lowering the risk of triggering anti-personnel mines.

The Teslya wheeled hexadrone is capable of traversing hills and trenches and executing a pivot turn on the spot, similar to a tank maneuver. The robot’s wheels may be fitted with non-pneumatic tires that maintain operational capability even after sustaining damage.

The Teslya ground robotic system can fit into the cargo area of a military pickup truck or minibus. The hexadrone can carry up to two centners of cargo. It is fitted with a quick-swap battery system, enabling rapid replacement under field conditions.
