The Ministry of Defence enhances the quality assurance system for defense-related goods in the context of martial law

The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine is actively working to improve the quality assurance system for defense-related goods, works, and services in the context of martial law.

This was the focus of a meeting chaired by Deputy Minister of Defence Brigadier General Anatolii Klochko.

The Deputy Minister emphasized that the primary objective of these innovations is to prevent the delivery of substandard goods, works, and services to units of the Defence Forces.

“One of the measures to achieve this objective could be the enhancement of the Ministry of Defence’s military representation system, particularly by integrating it into the state quality assurance framework,” stated Anatolii Klochko.

Yevhen Krasnykov, Head of the State Quality Assurance Department, presented a new quality assurance model to the meeting participants. This model integrates state quality assurance and quality control systems. He also proposed an implementation algorithm tailored to the legal framework of martial law.

Adopting this model is expected to minimize the risks of producing and supplying substandard defense-related goods while also facilitating a transition to Western quality assurance standards.

The meeting was attended by representatives from relevant Ministry of Defence units, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the Ministry of Strategic Industries of Ukraine, as well as public organizations such as the Ukrainian Association for Excellence and Quality (UAEQ) and the Ukrainian Council of Defence Industry.
