The Department of Military Training at the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine welcomes applicants seeking to pursue a degree in veterinary medicine

The 2025 admissions campaign is underway. The Department of Military Training at the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine (NUBiP) invites applicants to enroll in the military specialist training program in Veterinary Medicine. The Department educates future officers—veterinary medicine doctors—who are responsible for monitoring the safety and quality of food products supplied to military units and ensuring the health of military working animals.

This Department is the only military training unit in Ukraine that offers a state-funded program of professional military education for veterinary doctors. The program lasts six years and results in the award of a Master’s degree.

The Department educates highly qualified veterinary doctors in line with international standards, including:

  • Control of the safety and quality of food products throughout production, transportation, processing, and storage;
  • Development and implementation of innovative methods for diagnosing, preventing, and treating diseases in military working animals;
  • Monitoring compliance with hygiene standards in military units.

Department graduates hold positions as veterinary medicine officers in the military units of Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence, State Border Guard Service, and National Guard.

Advantages of studying at the Department of Military Training:

  • State-funded, tuition-free education under a government placement program;
  • Full state-funded support: accommodation, meals, gear and clothing, as well as monetary allowance;
  • Modern facilities and technical training infrastructure;
  • Full-time (daytime) education.

Cadets receive their basic training at the faculties of NUBiP Ukraine, with military-professional and specialized military training conducted by the Department of Military Training.

Applications for admission may be submitted by Ukrainian citizens, including civilians, military personnel, reservists, and individuals liable for military service.

Requirements for admission:

  • Completed general secondary, vocational, professional-technical, professional pre-higher, or higher education;
  • Individuals aged 17 to 30, including those who turn 17 in the year they begin military service (or training);
  • No prior officer rank held.

Admission to the NUBiP Ukraine is based on the results of the National Multi-Subject Test (NMST), entrance exams, medical examination, psychological evaluation, and physical fitness test.

Applications are accepted until July 27, 2025, inclusive.
