Rustem Umerov discusses expansion of defense cooperation with Rheinmetall CEO

Ukraine's Defence Minister Rustem Umerov met with Rheinmetall CEO Armin Papperger. The parties discussed cooperation in producing ammunition, armored vehicles, and air defense systems.

“Developing Ukraine’s own defense industry is of key importance, and we are open to sharing expertise with our partners,” Rustem Umerov said. 

The meeting highlighted Ukraine's readiness to establish joint ventures, drawing on its proven success in such cooperation. Particular emphasis was placed on expanding production capabilities in collaboration with Rheinmetall.

Rustem Umerov thanked Armin Papperger for supporting Ukraine and Rheinmetall's commitment to implementing new mutually beneficial projects.
