Denys Shmyhal discussed the development of joint projects with the CEO of Rheinmetall Group
The Minister of Defence of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, held talks with the CEO of Rheinmetall Group, Armin Papperger.
“This is our long-standing and important partner. We have exemplary cooperation in three areas: armored vehicles, ammunition, and air defence systems,” said Denys Shmyhal.
He noted that the current focus is on developing joint projects in Ukraine, in particular the construction of a factory for the production of artillery shells. During the conversation, the parties discussed key stages and working issues.
“We are moving according to plan. I have defined improved coordination mechanisms. We are working together clearly and quickly. We value our cooperation. We are engaging defence companies from all over the world to establish production facilities and R&D centers in Ukraine. We are building strength that will stop aggression and ensure lasting peace,” emphasized the Minister of Defence of Ukraine.
