Rustem Umerov: A military aid package from Italy is on its way to Ukraine

Ukraine's defense minister Rustem Umerov held talks with Italian Defence Minister Guido Crozetto. 

“Italy strengthens its support for Ukraine. The key announcement: another military aid package from Italy is already on its way to Ukraine. This includes advanced weaponry that will help our service members deliver powerful blows to the enemy,” Rustem Umerov emphasized.

The Minister of Defence of Ukraine expressed gratitude to the Italian people and government for their steadfast support, and to Guido Crozetto for his leadership and productive cooperation. 

The parties discussed consolidating efforts in the defense industry. In particular, Ukraine and Italy plan to establish joint ventures. In addition, the two nations are collaborating on other initiatives to maximize support for Ukraine's domestic defense sector.

During the meeting, Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov, Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, shared with Italian partners the latest information on the battlefield situation and the enemy's intentions. The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, outlined the priority needs of the army.

For his part, Guido Crozetto reaffirmed Italy's steadfast support for Ukraine and emphasized the importance of expanding the Ramstein format, which is crucial for meeting the needs of Ukrainian defenders.
