July has seen russia’s heaviest boat losses so far

Units of the Defence Forces of Ukraine have destroyed or put out of action 1,039 russian military boats using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) since the start of 2026.

Every hit is recorded on video in the DELTA combat system and verified by the Brave1 defense innovation cluster.

In just under 10 months of 2026, the month-by-month figures for enemy boats hit by drones are as follows:

  • January: 51;
  • February: 35;
  • March: 155;
  • April: 92;
  • May: 76;
  • June: 103;

Why hitting russian boats with UAVs matters

Hitting these vessels weakens the enemy’s ability to control waters, move personnel and equipment, and supply its units.

As previously reported, the Defence Forces have inflicted more than 300,000 russian casualties using drones since the start of the year. In DELTA, the heaviest russian personnel losses were recorded in March, at nearly 34,000 troops.
