Fast and maneuverable: The Defense Forces are set to receive new kamikaze drones

The Ministry of Defence has codified and adopted the domestically produced NORD unmanned aerial systems for deployment within the units of the Defence Forces of Ukraine.

According to the Main Directorate for Support of the Life Cycle of Weapons and Military Equipment, NORD drones are compact and maneuverable. The drones are equipped with an advanced control system that ensures reliable communication between the operator and the ‘bird’ amid enemy electronic warfare.

The drones have carbon fiber frames in several sizes. The NORD ‘birds,’ with a payload of several kilograms, can reach speeds of up to 150 kilometers per hour.
