Dmytro Klimenkov inspected the status of rear services logistical support in the Operational Command South
The working group and the Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine inspected the logistics of one brigade of the Operational Command South.
The inspection began with a visit to the canteen to check for portion size and quality of the food. Service members confirmed that the meals were tasty and sufficient, meeting the standards and satisfying their needs.
Dmytro Klimenkov also inspected the storage conditions for bulk foods, including groats, flour, biscuits, oil, and water, as well as the fruits and vegetables storehouse. "Having inspected, we were convinced of the proper quality of the foodstuffs. We did not see any rotting or careless handling of fresh products. This is the result of well-established supply processes and effective food service operation, which is responsible for the food quality," the Deputy Defence Minister said.
The meat and fish warehouse was also inspected. It is equipped with generators and air conditioning.
The next step was to inspect the kit and clothing property warehouses. "The premises have no leaks, the storage system is properly organized, and the property is categorized by item names. Service members are 100% provided with personal protective equipment, including body armors and helmets, as well as clothing. The warehouse is already in the process of reception of winter clothing and footwear of proper quality," Dmytro Klimenkov noted.
He also promised to review the quantitative ratios of clothing sizes purchased for the AFU, taking into account the service members' wishes.
Finally, Dmytro Klimenkov got acquainted with how the Brigade works when it comes to decentralized acquisition. "It was clear to us that the financier in charge had the processes well in place. Thanks to the transfer of personal income tax, the brigade is purchasing drones, electronic warfare equipment, radio communications equipment, etc.", - summarized the Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine.
