Department of Military Training at Odesa National University invites candidates to enroll in programs training future meteorologists and geophysicists

As part of the 2025 admissions campaign, the Department of Military Training at Odesa I.I. Mechnikov National University is recruiting cadets for the program “Organization of Meteorological and Geophysical Support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.”
Graduates of the Department collect and analyze meteorological and geophysical data for all branches of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This information supports the planning and execution of combat operations.
Hydrometeorological support is a component of operational support for troops, aimed at leveraging meteorological and hydrological data to ensure the effective use of weapons and military equipment.
The Department offers a full-time higher education program. The duration of the program is 4+1.5 years: 4 years (bachelor’s level) as a cadet, followed by 1.5 years (master’s level) as a postgraduate trainee.

Admission requirements for applicants:
- Citizens of Ukraine aged 17 to 30 years (including those turning 17 in the year of enrollment);
- Military personnel and individuals liable for military service who do not hold officer ranks, aged 18 to 30;
- Reservists and individuals subject to military service who do not hold officer ranks and are under the age of 30;
- Completed general secondary, vocational, professional-technical, professional pre-higher, or higher education.
Admission to the Department is based on the results of the National Multi-Subject Test (NMST).
Applicants are also required to pass the following entrance tests:
- Psychological evaluation;
- Assessment of physical fitness;
- Final medical examination conducted by the Military Medical Commission.
