"Czech Initiative" must ensure timely ammunition deliveries – Sergiy Boyev
The "Czech Initiative" for the supply of artillery ammunition is playing a vital role in meeting the needs of Ukraine’s Defense Forces and has potential to become even more effective, particularly with respect to meeting delivery deadlines.
This statement was made by Ukraine’s Deputy Defense Minister for European Integration, Sergiy Boyev, during a meeting with a Czech delegation led by the Czech Republic’s National Security Advisor, Tomáš Pojar. The meeting also included Tomáš Kopečný, the government commissioner for Ukraine's reconstruction, and Radek Pech, the Czech Ambassador to Ukraine.
“I thank the 'Czech Initiative' for its ability to unite partners during challenging times. However, the speed of ammunition deliveries and logistics remains an urgent issue - it is worth finding the most effective ways,” Sergiy Boyev emphasized.
The Deputy Minister also expressed gratitude to the Czech Republic for its active involvement in capability coalitions, including those focused on aviation capabilities, integrated air and missile defense, drones, artillery, armored vehicles and maneuverability, and demining.
The parties discussed various areas that need synchronization, including the training of Ukrainian troops under the EUMAM mission, provision of material and technical support, and future support for defense industry projects.
