Ukraine and Germany updated the status of joint defence contracts

Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine, Sergiy Boyev, and Defence Attaché at the Embassy of Germany, Colonel Thorsten Fries, discussed the current status of a number of defence contracts.
One of the main topics of discussion was the delivery of Patriot air-defence systems – specifically the terms and timelines for their delivery to Ukraine. The parties also agreed on mechanisms to establish direct lines of communication between the Ministries’ Defence command teams.
“Time and a clear understanding of deliveries and the fulfilment of agreements are critically important for Ukraine. This enables accurate planning of military operations and the protection of civilians and infrastructure,” emphasised Sergiy Boyev.
Representatives of Ukraine and Germany discussed the status and relevance of a number of contracts – the timelines for implementation, requirements, and the possibility of their extension. In particular, this concerned the production of ammunition, missiles for air and missile defence, and long-range systems.
A separate issue was the steps for developing joint enterprises, their financing, and capacity-building.
