“Army of Drones Bonus” program delivers results: nearly 820,000 russian targets hit in 2025, says Mykhailo Fedorov

In 2025, approximately 820,000 russian targets were hit. This figure includes 240,000 instances of enemy personnel killed or critically wounded. These results were announced by Ukraine’s Minister of Defence, Mykhailo Fedorov, during the “Army of Drones — 2025” event, which was attended by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

In particular, 819,737 video-confirmed strikes were recorded in 2025, with the highest number targeting enemy personnel—nearly 240,000. The data also show 62,000 hits against light vehicles, 29,000 against heavy vehicles, and 32,000 against strike and reconnaissance UAVs.

“Currently, over 80% of enemy targets are destroyed by drones. The vast majority are drones manufactured in Ukraine. We must secure Ukraine’s enduring technological leadership. This translates into increased effectiveness of drone developers and manufacturers, greater effectiveness of our “Drone Line” project, and greater effectiveness of every unit operating drones and employing technologies and all new elements of warfare,” President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated.

As noted by Mykhailo Fedorov, the “Army of Drones” system has already proven to be a breakthrough in the war.

“For the first time, we have received real, verified battlefield data that can be used to support data-driven management decisions. We will continue to develop the program, and later this year we will expand the system to include new areas, including awarding points for the performance of air defense and army aviation against enemy drones, as well as rewarding snipers for their performance,” he emphasized.

During the event, the Minister of Defence highlighted units with the highest e-Point totals for enemy engagements in the “Army of Drones Bonus” system.

The following units were ranked in the top 10:

  • 414th Separate Brigade “Birds of Madyar” of the Unmanned Systems Forces;
  • Special Operations Center “A” of the Security Service of Ukraine;
  • Lasar’s Group of the National Guard of Ukraine;
  • “Phoenix” Main Unmanned Aerial Systems Department;
  • 3rd Separate Assault Brigade;
  • 429th Separate Regiment “Achilles” of the Unmanned Systems Forces;
  • 427th Separate Brigade “Rarog” of the Unmanned Systems Forces;
  • 59th Separate Assault Brigade of the Unmanned Systems Forces;
  • 412th Separate Brigade “NEMESIS” of the Unmanned Systems Forces;
  • Unmanned Systems Battalion of the 63rd Separate Mechanized Brigade.

The Minister of Defence noted that each award reflects a tangible result on the battlefield, which the Ministry is scaling across the entire frontline. This approach strengthens the Defence Forces and builds a technological advantage over the enemy.

Mykhailo Fedorov noted that one of the objectives is to increase the depth of engagement to disrupt enemy logistics and neutralize enemy UAV crews. For this purpose, point-allocation coefficients will be introduced, based on the range of engagement.

Lieutenant General Andrii Hnatov, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine; Major General Yevhenii Khmara, Acting Head of the Security Service of Ukraine; and Major Robert “Madyar” Brovdi, Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, also recognized units and individual crews in specific categories.

In particular, awards were presented to units that achieved the highest performance on the battlefield in the following categories:

  • destruction of enemy targets by artillery;
  • destruction of enemy targets using fiber-optic-controlled drones;
  • ground robotic systems operators;
  • reconnaissance missions;

  • destruction of targets at ranges exceeding 20 km;
  • interception of ‘Shahed’ drones;

  • interception of reconnaissance fixed-wing UAVs.

In addition, awards were presented to manufacturers of the most effective systems that have delivered the best battlefield results. The most effective systems in specific categories and the most popular items on the Brave1 Market were also recognized.

Mykhailo Fedorov thanked crews, operators, and all service members who risk their lives, test new solutions, undergo training, and share their experience with others.

“You are the ones who turn technology into real power and prove that modern warfare is won not by sheer quantitative superiority, but by intelligence, speed, and precision. I thank each of you for the results achieved. I thank the President for his leadership and systematic support of the “Army of Drones Bonus” program,” he concluded.
