Army+ has launched a training course on the use of the DOT-Chain system
A new training course—on the DOT-Chain system, developed by the Ministry of Defence’s procurement agency, the State Operator for Non-Lethal Acquisition (DOT)—has been added to the Army+ app. This marks the first course in the app focused on finance and procurement within the military.
DOT-Chain is an IT system that automates key processes related to food provision for military units. This course will be beneficial for food supply officers, those responsible for warehouse operations, and other military personnel involved in logistics at their units, who aim to gain a deeper understanding of the supply processes.
“When developing the DOT-Chain system, our team at the DOT focused primarily on making the process of supplying the Armed Forces of Ukraine with foodstuff as fast, transparent, and straightforward as possible. The system not only digitizes most processes but also provides military personnel responsible for food supply with effective tools to monitor product quality. This course in Army+ enables them to fully explore all the system’s features,” commented Aliona Zhuzha, IT Advisor at DOT.
The course consists of modules, each concluding with a knowledge acquisition test. After completing all modules, participants must pass a final exam to receive an electronic certificate.
“Army+ continues to enhance its training platform with valuable educational content. This time, we have launched a course tailored for military personnel responsible for supplying provisions to their units. DOT-Chain is a crucial system for the Defence Forces, having shortened the supply chain and saved significant funds. By introducing this course, we are promoting modern tools within the military,” said Kateryna Chernohorenko, Deputy Minister of Defence for Digital Development.
In total, with the addition of the new course, Army+ now offers nine courses. 67,500 service members are currently undergoing training, with 25,000 having successfully completed at least one course. The most popular courses are ‘UAV Fundamentals: An Introduction to Unmanned Systems” and “Information Resilience: Cybersecurity.”
