Army+ app starts survey on field rations satisfaction
Army+ launches a survey to assess service members' contentment with field rations, particularly with daily field ration packs No. 15 (including standard and improved heated options).
Taking into account the opinions of Ukraine's defenders and the potential need for nutrition inclusivity will allow the State Operator For Non-Lethal Acquisition (DOT), the acquisition agency of the Ministry of Defence, to develop an acquisition strategy and assess the practicality of purchasing specific types of field rations for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The Ministry of Defence has already initiated efforts to include vegetarian, kosher, and halal alternatives in the expanded range of options.
“Expanding the type list of field rations is an important step in improving our service members’ welfare. Through the provision of meals tailored to specific religious, medical, and ethical requirements, the Ministry of Defence caters to the unique needs of all individuals, thereby enhancing the environment for carrying out duties in defense of Ukraine,” said Deputy Defence Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Klimenkov.
The survey started today, September 21, in the Army+ app. The app's functionality allows for the quick collection of input from service members remotely, which can then be forwarded to DOT for analysis and decision-making. The survey is scheduled to last for 14 days.
“The current number of registered service members with Army+ stands at 250 thousand. Moreover, up to 10 thousand users join the app daily, contributing to potential transformations within the Armed Forces. I am thankful to the team of State Operator For Non-Lethal Acquisition for their proactive stance and eagerness to incorporate the military's input gathered through the Army+ surveys,” said Kateryna Chernohorenko, Deputy Minister of Defence for Digital Development.
This latest survey is the third one organized in Army+ for the military so far. The previous surveys focused on combat system utilization and online training.
