A new cyber hygiene course for service members has been launched in Army+

A new training course, “Cyber Hygiene 2.0,” has been launched in the Army+ app, focusing on basic yet critically essential cybersecurity rules for daily service in the Defence Forces of Ukraine. The course helps service members operate safely in the digital environment and reduce the risks of information leaks, cyberattacks, and technical compromise.

The course program consists of 14 training modules and explains how to safely use smartphones, computers, the Internet, social media, and messaging apps, as well as how to work with passwords, Wi-Fi, USB flash drives, and service systems. The course places particular emphasis on enemy cyber threats—phishing, malware, viruses, botnets, DDoS attacks, and internal cyber incidents—as well as on response protocols for critical situations.

The training is built around practical examples and real-world scenarios. Each module includes interim tests, followed by a final exam and a certificate confirming the acquisition of cybersecurity knowledge and skills.

The course is delivered by officers of the Main Joint Center for Information Protection and Cybersecurity in Information and Telecommunication Systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The training materials were developed in close cooperation with the Main Directorate of Communications and Cybersecurity of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The course will benefit all service members who use digital devices and information daily, from rank-and-file personnel to unit commanders.

Army+ now offers 19 training courses covering tactics, combat planning, unmanned systems, communications, financial literacy, and other areas. Overall, 213,000 service members are training through the app, acquiring practical knowledge that can be immediately applied in unit-level activities.
