Mykhailo Fedorov

Mykhailo Fedorov was born in 1991 in Vasylivka, Zaporizhzhia Oblast, Ukraine.

In 2014, he graduated from Zaporizhzhia National University, Faculty of Sociology and Management, obtaining a full higher education. He also completed the Higher Political School, the Educational School for NATO Representatives in Ukraine, and the Digital Transformation Strategy program at Yale School of Management.

2015–2019: Founder and Chief Executive Officer of SMMSTUDIO.

In 2018, he was Director of Operations at the SUPERHUMANS project.

Since May 2019, he has served as a non-staff adviser to the President of Ukraine on digital affairs.

In 2019, he was elected a Member of Parliament of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (9th convocation).

On 29 August 2019, he was appointed Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine — Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.

On 21 March 2023, he was appointed Vice Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science, and Technology Development — Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.

From 17 July 2025 to 13 January 2026, he served as First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine — Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.

On 14 January 2026, upon the nomination of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, he was appointed Minister of Defence of Ukraine.
