55,000 change-of-duty-station requests approved through Army+
Since the launch of the change-of-duty-station report feature in the Army+ app, personnel authorities have approved 55,000 service member transfers.
The simplified change-of-duty-station process through Army+ was introduced in stages: first within the Armed Forces of Ukraine and within the National Guard of Ukraine, and now between the two. This has broadened the opportunities for service members to serve in positions where their skills provide the greatest benefit to national defense.
The change-of-duty-station process is now more straightforward and easier to navigate:
- the app now provides prompts on which document pages and sections need to be added, along with an automatic check to ensure that the data is up to date;
- a dedicated change-of-duty-station page — https://aplus.mod.gov.ua/transfer
— has been launched, offering detailed guidance on how to avoid common reasons for rejection and increase the chances of approval; - when submitting a request report in the app, service members can immediately download up-to-date recommendation letter templates for both the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard of Ukraine;
“55,000 approved transfers are proof that digital solutions are genuinely transforming the military and serving the interests of those who defend Ukraine. Our task is to ensure that every service member can be assigned where their experience and skills deliver the greatest impact — quickly, conveniently, and without unnecessary bureaucracy,” said Ukraine’s Minister of Defence Denys Shmyhal.
If the request is approved, personnel authorities issue an order for the change of duty station, which is mandatory for implementation. The Main Department for the Protection of Service Members’ Rights (MDPSMR), in coordination with military command authorities, oversees the implementation of these orders and takes action in cases of non-compliance.
Service members may report any potential violations by submitting a complaint to the official email of the Main Department for the Protection of Service Members’ Rights (MDPSMR): [email protected]. For feedback purposes, an email address and a mobile phone number must be provided.
