Valerii Churkin: The Defence Forces have implemented a system for analyzing combat experience

To swiftly implement positive changes in the Armed Forces, a mechanism for collecting and analyzing real combat experience has been established and is already operational in Ukraine. The system, named the LLI Platform (Lessons Learned and Implementation), enables the adaptation of tactics and training programs, as well as the modernization of weaponry, to address evolving battlefield challenges.
This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine, Valerii Churkin, during his speech at the conference “Lessons Learned in a Dynamic Defense Landscape – 2025: The Impact of Combat Experience on Approaches to Warfare.”
He emphasized that the key advantage of a modern military lies not only in advanced weaponry but also in the ability to learn and adopt new approaches to warfare rapidly.
“We have already established an effective mechanism for collecting combat experience and applying it within the military, enabling us to adapt to new threats and develop advanced combat tactics swiftly. “Now, it is crucial not only to continue this process but also to expand its capabilities,” he added.
During the conference, organized by the NGO “Boryviter Center of Excellence” in collaboration with the Ministry of Defence and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, participants discussed steps to enhance the integration of combat experience into military planning.
Ukraine is working to strengthen its cooperation with international partners, which will enable the adoption of global best practices in the military sector.
