Ukraine joined CFBLNet, multinational initiative for combat systems testing
Ukraine has joined Combined Federated Battle Laboratories Network multinational initiative as a guest partner. It is used by developers of testing systems, joint training and verification of developments. The NATO Communication and Information Agency, with which the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has signed a technical agreement, became a sponsor for Ukraine’s participation in the initiative.
Participation in the “battle laboratories network” will expand Ukraine’s capabilities for testing combat systems for interoperability and readiness for use in multinational operations. This will allow, in particular, to conduct such tests in classified networks after appropriate accreditation.
“Our cooperation with NATO and other member states is expanding boundaries. We are striving to interoperability with partners, and our systems have long proven themselves during joint exercises. We are grateful for the invitation for Ukraine to yet another initiative. We are ready to continue working and deepening cooperation,” said Kateryna Chernohorenko, Deputy Minster of Defence.
For reference: CFBLNet currently has over 400 networks in 26 countries and NATO. It operates within the frameworks of partnership between the Committee on Communications Electronics (CCEB), NATO and the United States of America. The CFBLNet core for European and NATO nations and organisations is managed by the NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA).
