Ukraine invited Austria to join the Demining Coalition and invest in the production of electronic means to protect civilians from missiles and drones
The cooperation between Ukraine and Austria holds significant potential for growth, particularly in the technology sector. This statement was made by the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine for European Integration, Sergiy Boyev, during negotiations with the Austrian Ambassador to Ukraine, Arad Benkö.
The Deputy Minister invited Austria to join the Demining Coalition and informed them of opportunities for investing in Ukrainian industry, particularly in the production of demining tools and electronic systems for protecting civilians from missiles and drones.
“We invite Austrian companies to localize production in Ukraine or invest in existing enterprises,” emphasized Sergiy Boyev.
Additionally, the parties discussed the valuable contributions of the EU Mission to train Ukrainian military personnel (EUMAM). Sergiy Boyev also thanked Austria for its financial, diplomatic, and humanitarian support.
“Austria has already joined important initiatives in restoring energy infrastructure, rehabilitating our civilians, and demining. There is potential to strengthen this cooperation,” noted Sergiy Boyev.
