Ukraine and Swift Beat have signed a memorandum on scaling up the production of unmanned systems

Minister of Defence of Ukraine Rustem Umerov signed a memorandum in Denmark with Swift Beat CEO Eric Schmidt in the presence of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, to scale up the production of unmanned systems for Ukraine.
“This is another important step toward our strategic goal: gaining technological superiority on the battlefield and systematically strengthening the capabilities of the Armed Forces in the air,” said the Minister of Defence.
The memorandum provides for:
- long-term partnership and priority supply of drones for Ukraine
- large-scale production of interceptor drones, quadcopters, and strike systems
- development of new solutions to counter cruise and ballistic missiles.
According to Rustem Umerov, the project envisions hundreds of thousands of drones in 2025, with production scaling up further in 2026. In particular, a significant number of Shahed-interceptor drones, which have already proven their effectiveness in Ukraine.
Importantly, deliveries will be made under special terms, at production cost.
“The mass use of drones has become one of the defining features of this war. To effectively protect our people, cities, and critical infrastructure, Ukraine is building up its own “drone arsenals” by leveraging the potential of the world’s leading manufacturers. We are working to ensure that every unit has modern tools for reconnaissance, surveillance, and strike capabilities, and that our defenders receive everything they need for effective combat,” emphasized Rustem Umerov.
He thanked the Swift Beat team for the partnership and willingness to move fast, as well as all other partners who help Ukraine stay strong.
