Ukraine and Norway discussed deepening cooperation in the defense industry

Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine, Brigadier General Anatolii Klochko, met with representatives of the Ministry of Defence of the Kingdom of Norway.

The main topic of the talks was strengthening cooperation in the defense industry, particularly in joint production projects for artillery ammunition.

Anatolii Klochko emphasized the critical importance of a stable supply of ammunition for the artillery units of the Defence Forces, which is essential for successfully deterring the aggressor on the front line.  

Special attention was given to developing and producing advanced air and missile defense systems.

“The latest missile attacks have proven that the enemy is capable of quickly adapting and improving the technical characteristics of its weapons.  These challenges require decisive and effective responses,” stressed the Brigadier General.  

In turn, representatives of the Norwegian delegation informed the Ukrainian side about the results of their meetings with representatives of Ukraine’s defense industry, as well as the scope of assistance provided by the Norwegian government under the Capability Coalitions initiative.

Both sides agreed to maintain active contacts to implement several promising projects in the defense industry.
