Ukrainian UAV for laser designation approved for operational use within the Defence Forces

Завдяки лазерному цілевказанню дрон дозволяє суттєво підвищити ефективність застосування керованих боєприпасів

The Ukrainian R-34-T unmanned aerial vehicle, equipped with a laser designator, has been officially approved for operational use within the units of the Defence Forces of Ukraine.

The drone was developed at the request of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has successfully passed all stages of testing, and is ready to carry out combat missions. Its primary function is laser target designation for the precision engagement of targets using guided munitions, including artillery and aviation munitions.

By providing laser target designation, the drone significantly enhances the effectiveness of guided munitions, especially at long ranges and in environments with active enemy air defence.

In addition, the UAV is equipped with secure communication channels, a modular architecture, and resistance to electronic warfare. The drone allows for more efficient use of available resources, minimises ammunition consumption, and reduces risks for operators and combat units.
