Ukraine and Denmark discussed enhancing cooperation in the defense industry

During his working visit to Brussels, Ukraine's Defence Minister Rustem Umerov discussed the next steps in supporting Ukraine and coordinating security assistance with Danish Defence Minister Troels Lund Poulsen.
The central focus of the meeting was allocating additional funds for procuring Ukrainian weapons and new investments in the capabilities of Ukraine's defense industry. The parties dedicated special attention to enhancing cooperation in unmanned aerial vehicles.
“We agreed to continue contacts on implementing joint projects both in Ukraine and Denmark. We stand ready to extend maximum support to leading Danish companies seeking to start operations in our country,” said the Minister of Defence of Ukraine.
Rustem Umerov thanked his Danish counterpart for the recently announced military aid package, which totals over $970 million. This marks Denmark's 25th aid package since the onset of Russia's full-scale aggression.
The Minister of Defence of Ukraine further emphasized the importance of the ‘Danish model’ for financing the Ukrainian industry as an effective cooperation framework, gaining traction with an increasing number of nations.
