The WZT-3 armored repair and recovery vehicle adopted for use in the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The Ministry of Defence codified and adopted the WZT-3 armored repair and recovery vehicle for deployment within the Defence Forces. It is designed to evacuate armored vehicles from the battlefield and perform field repairs.

The WZT-3 BREM was developed from a T-72 tank chassis, with the turret replaced by a robust crane, winch, electric welding equipment, and various other repair tools.

Furthermore, the BREM can perform obstacle clearing and earthworks to fortify positions. The WZT-3 is equipped with two machine guns, one 12.7 mm and one 7.62 mm, along with tracking systems.
