The new Ukrainian UAV system will strengthen the capabilities of our military units

Новий український БпАК посилить спроможності наших підрозділів

The Ministry of Defence has codified and adopted the domestically produced WINFLY unmanned aerial system for deployment within the Defence Forces of Ukraine. This was reported by the MoD’s Main Directorate for Support of the Life Cycle of Weapons and Military Equipment.

The WINFLY drones are built on frames of various sizes. When designing these UAVs, Ukrainian engineers considered the recommendations and experience of frontline UAV operators. In particular, specific engineering solutions have been implemented to enhance crew safety during combat operations and to improve the drones' resilience against enemy electronic warfare. The “birdies” of these systems are fast and highly maneuverable. They can strike not only field fortifications and enemy maneuverable targets but also track and eliminate enemy reconnaissance drones.

A reminder to defense equipment manufacturers: helpful information on the procedure for codifying new models of weapons and military equipment is available here.
