The Ministry of Defense is returning ammunition to strengthen the country's defense capabilities

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine returned a significant amount of ammunition of various calibers to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. These munitions, which were given over to businesses for disposal as surplus even before russia launched its armed aggression against Ukraine in 2014, are being used again due to a growing demand for military resources.

As russia's large-scale invasion began, the need for ammunition increased significantly, necessitating operational decisions regarding its return and usage. Thanks to the efforts of the specialists of the Office for Alienation and Disposal of Surplus Military Property, the returned ammunition, after a thorough quality check, is already being used on the battlefield against the russian occupiers.

The ammunition in question includes:

* artillery rounds

* ammunition for small arms

* components

* fuzes, etc.

This process is part of the Ministry of Defense's activities to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities and provide the Ukrainian military with the necessary resources to effectively confront the aggressor.

Deputy Minister of Defense Yuriy Dzhygyr: "We are looking for internal reserves to provide Ukrainian soldiers with ammunition. We understand that today every shell, missile, and bullet is vital on the battlefield. Instead of disposing of ammunition, we "dispose" of the enemy by utilizing it. We give a second chance at life, trying to restore all that is repairable and could be used in future. We are all working to support our troops on the frontlines."

He also stated that the Ministry of Defense monitors and assesses stocks on a regular basis and actively collaborates with defense-industrial complex companies to ensure an uninterrupted supply of weapons, military equipment, and other required means for Ukraine's defense forces.
