The Ministry of Defense has approved the "Safari" semi-automatic shotgun for use in the Armed Forces
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has codified and approved the semi-automatic Safari HG-105M shotgun for use in Defense Force units. This shotgun can be used as a firearm in close-quarters combat. When equipped with hunting cartridges containing shots, it can also serve as a tool for countering enemy FPV drones.
The Safari HG-105M is a semi-automatic shotgun with a gas-piston mechanism and a detachable magazine. It is manufactured using bullpup technology, which reduces the overall length of the weapon without shortening the barrel. This bullpup design shifts the weapon’s center of gravity closer to the middle, reducing strain on the shooter during extended use.
The weapon is designed for 12-gauge cartridges with magazine capacities of 5 or 10 rounds. The shotgun weighs slightly over 4 kg.
We remind manufacturers and developers of military equipment that they can direct additional questions regarding the codification process to the Main Directorate for Armament and Military Equipment Life Cycle Support at the email: [email protected].
