The Ministry of Defence renew the composition of the Public Anti-Corruption Council

The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine is putting effort into renewing the Public Anti-Corruption Council, a key advisory body for the Ministry of Defence.

In July 2024, amendments were made to the Regulation on the Public Anti-Corruption Council, specifically to define the qualifications needed for candidates entering the competition. These amendments were approved by the Order of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine No. 465/nm dated July 11, 2024.

The composition of the commission responsible for conducting the competition to shape the new Public Anti-Corruption Council was approved by the Ministry of Defence through an Order dated August 16, 2024, last week.

This decision underscores the Ministry's ongoing focus on improving the process of forming advisory bodies.

Bearing in mind the past experience of selecting Council members through online rating SMS voting, which raised numerous complaints due to possible vote manipulation, the MoD is implementing contemporary methods aimed at enhancing the transparency of this process.

Utilizing the capabilities of the Diia State-Owned Commercial Enterprise, technical steps are being taken to electronic verification of voters. This aims to safeguard the voting results from being manipulated by external sources.

The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine is unwavering in its commitment to transparency and integrity and is actively enhancing its anti-corruption control system.
